10-Year-Old Wins National Minecraft Championship

With the popularity of gaming Youtubers like Pewdie Pie who earns millions each year for sharing videos of himself playing various games, the gaming industry is well, at the top of its game!

Kids are earning their stripes in the gaming industry long before they can write in cursive. 10-year-old Julien Wiltshire from Los Angeles was crowned the top winner at the first ever Minecraft National Championship, according to Engadget. The competition was created by Super League Gaming, a firm that organizes tournaments across the world. Julien took the top spot over more than 1,000 players in the US in 40 cities.

Julien, whose online name is SuperKraft11, was awarded the coveted Super Bolt trophy and $5,000.
