More and more gizmos designed for pets and their owners are hitting the market, making interacting with your pet when you're not home easier than ever. As the Silicon Beat reports, pet products are getting smarter and smarter, which is good news for you and Fido.
If you're worried about your dog lazing the day away, getting into things he shouldn't be and gobbling down his food, there's the CleverPet Hub, a combination puzzle game and food dispenser. The device flashes lights on its hub in different patterns and if your dog touches the light pads in the right order, it will dispense a small amount of food. For extra-smart dogs, the device makes the patterns a little more challenging.
If you want to track your pooch's exercise habits, there are two new options. PitPat attaches to a dog's collar and lets you track its walking, running, sleeping and other activities on a smartphone app. Or you can do all that with the WonderWoof BowTie device, which comes in the shape of doggy neckwear.
For cat owners, there's the Petcube, which has a camera that lets you check in on your furry feline to snap pictures that you can then post online. It comes with a laser pointer that you can control with a swipe of your smartphone to get your cat running around.
With all these new gadgets to keep your pets stimulated, you don't have to feel so guilty when you can't be at home.
