Kids Can Now Call to Hear Their Fave Disney Character Say Goodnight

Photograph by Twenty20

Your kid's bedtime routine just got more magical and, hopefully, a little easier to manage. From now until August 31, parents can enlist the help of Mickey and his gang with Disney's new hotline.

All you have to do is call 1-877-7-MICKEY (1-877-764-2539) and follow the instructions to hear a special goodnight message from Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy or Goofy (extensions 1 through 5, respectively). Just imagine, when your little one's trying everything to get out of bed, like declaring she's hungry or pretending he forgot to give you kisses from all the stuffed animals in his room, you now have a tool to bribe—er, we mean inspire—them to close their damn eyes.

You're limited to one message per call (standard mobile charges may apply—but, hey, don't let that stop you from calling in every day until the end of the month. Or, if you're desperate, hanging up and dialing again for another character. We won't judge.

The sleep number is part of Disney's new Sleep Shop, a sleep line that has everything from bedtime books to cozy character pajamas. It even includes some cute AF slippers and sleep reward charts. They've really thought of everything.

Some parents have already given the hotline a go, and they're loving it.

"This is the best thing ever. My kids' eyes light up hearing the characters," wrote one mom on Instagram. The mom and her kids have been calling one character per night.

Some parents, however, have said they haven't been able to get through after multiple attempts. (We suggest trying out the number first before getting the kids' hopes up.)

For those who can, may your bedtime battles this month be ones you can finally win.
