If you have a kid that won't stop walking around belting out "Part of Your World," have we got news for you. According to the Disney Parks Blog, certain Walt Disney World resorts will be offering "Mermaid School" starting in mid-March. That's right, your mermaid-obsessed child can now experience what it's really like to be Ariel.
This hour-long class will be available for guests 4 years and older (yes, that means you, too, could learn to be a mermaid) and includes a tail-fitting and learning to swim like a mermaid, among other things. The cost is $50.
The class will be available at the following resorts at 8 a.m. (which may sound early, but parents of young children know many of them have already been up for hours by then):
- Art of Animation Resort: Sunday and Thursday
- Caribbean Beach Resort: Wednesday and Friday
- Beach Club Resort: Tuesday and Saturday
- Yacht Club Resort: Tuesday and Saturday
The classes are taught by the Mermaid Academy — a Florida-based company that regularly teaches kids and adults the art of being a mermaid.
And in case you were wondering, the fin is just a loaner, but there are ones available for purchase if your little one just has to take home a souvenir to remember their time under the sea.
