Beyoncé has once again knocked it out of the park with her latest
business venture, a clothing line named Ivy Park. It seems that a magical blend of
inspiration and female empowerment has become a part of her brand, not just
as a singer and performer, but also as a leader.
Her new line of workout clothing demonstrates her new attitude about her power when it comes to enhancing the lives of all
Just when you think that Beyoncé has exposed all of her talent,
she reveals a new creative expression. Her seemingly infinite abilities are
sparked by her focus on the things and people in her life that matter. With her
amazing mental and physical energy, Beyoncé is doing her best to help all women
see that we have what it takes to achieve what we dream of becoming and on our own terms.
Queen B's life tells a twofold story. One aspect is the dream of becoming a superstar, a renowned beauty,
a businesswoman and a mother. The other aspect is the work, the actual effort she has made to become this person and the deliberate choices she's made along
Her new athleisure and activewear line pushes us to do the same and is designed for both on and off
the field. The clothes are simple with clean lines, and they're made to
complement and empower women to care for ourselves mentally and physically. (If only they gave you the body of Beyoncé, too.)
One of the most beautiful
things about the clothing line reveal is hearing Beyoncé, mom to Blue Ivy, acknowledge that sometimes she's
still afraid, and when this is so, she has a place she can go to. She asks
listeners, "Where is your park, the place that gives you strength and helps you
overcome any seeming obstacles?"
"I called it Ivy Park because a park is our commonality," Beyoncé told Elle. "We can all go there; we're all welcomed. It's anywhere we create for ourselves. For me, it's the place that my drive comes from. I think we all have that place we go to when we need to fight through something, set our goals and accomplish them."
Ivy Park clothing is for any and all women who are working
toward achieving a goal; whether it be mental or physical, on or off the field,
has you covered. You can purchase her designs at stores like Net-a-Porter, Topshop and Nordstrom.
You sure bet I'll be buying a few select items for my hot yoga practice
and continue working on staying in shape. And while I'm pretty devoted to my
workout, I'll be sure to go to my own inner park when I need the strength to
handle a challenge. Thanks again to Beyoncé for another round of inspiration.
