Friends Spot Crucifix in Mom's Sonogram Picture

An Indiana woman is apparently gestating the divine. Images from a recent ultrasound not only showed a healthy, well-formed fetus, but also an image of Jesus Christ on the Cross. (If you hold the picture the right way. And maybe squint a little.)

Aley Meyer told WFIE news reporters that the ultrasound image was taken at a routine prenatal checkup. While Meyer's pregnancy has been fine, she's been taking medicine to manage her Crohn's disease and fequently worries about whether it's affecting the fetus.

She hadn't noticed the holy likeness when the technician handed her the images. Rather, perhaps by the grace of divine intervention, a guest at her baby shower pointed it out. Meyer told reporters she didn't really get what they were talking about at first, but after guests zoned in on the dark patch and englarged the area, she become a believer.

"We took a picture of it and blew it up on my phone to get a closer look and it is so much detail. You can see the hair and his legs crossed and everything," Meyer said.

She posted the images on Facebook and started getting comments and requests for permission to share it almost immediately.

Meyer said she thinks the image is a sign from God that everything with the development and birth of her son is going to be OK.

The sonogram tech probably agrees but based on different reasons.
