Pillsbury and the Girl Scouts just made an announcement that's amazing for three reasons:
1. You don't have to fight the kid in front of you for the last box of Thin Mints.
2. You don't have to wait for cookie season to throw piles of money at the first Girl Scout you see (or if you're an A-list celeb, at Chris Rock's daughters at the Oscars).
3. You're going to be the new school bake sale queen, dammit.
Because (drumroll please) ... we can now make our own Girl Scout cookies and eat them whenever we want!
Yes. You read that right.
It's probably their smartest marketing move yet. (Just take all my money!)
The new line of Girl Scout cookie mixes include (cookie purists, look away) four types of brownies, blondies and cupcake mixes in Thin Mints or Caramel and Coconut flavors. They go for about $3.30 each (which is cheaper than buying an ready-made box) with no added colors, preservatives or artificial flavors. If baking is your thing, the mixes are available at grocery stores NOW.
