Philippe Morgese of Florida has been a single dad since his daughter, Emma, was 1 year old. Even back then, Emma had a full head of hair and Morgese found himself frustrated by not knowing how to style it, so he decided to teach himself by watching YouTube videos—and lots of trial and error.
Emma now has long hair and Morgese has become quite the expert at styling it in braids, buns and other creative ways. Other dads noticed his mad skills and ask for tips on how to do their own daughters' hair, which is why Morgese started the Daddy Daughter Hair Factory.
Morgese teaches other dads styling tips—for free—in a supportive environment where Morgese reminds them, "It's not about the braid, it's about the bond."
The community of dads braiding while bonding with their daughters is growing and thriving to the point where they hold weekly braid challenges via Facebook. Since February is the month of love, a heart-style challenge was issued. Check out just a few of the creations dads lovingly fashioned for their daughters.
