Haters gonna hate and mothers gonna mother—even when they're not mothering their own children, apparently. But Chrissy Teigen isn't having any of it.
She posted a sweet photo of her daughter Luna on Instagram wearing nothing but her Pampers. And as any mom knows, that telltale infamous blue line signals diaper dampness but doesn't always mean a diaper change is necessary. In fact, for years, moms have been Googling for answers about whether or not they should change their little one's diaper as soon as the line turns blue. After all, diapers can get pretty pricey. (And if you're wondering: The answer is no; it turns out that many moms have found the blue line to be very sensitive to even the slightest bit of moisture, which can give a too-early warning.)
Since Teigen announced her pregnancy, strangers have been judging her every move as a newly minted mom. From attacking her for selecting her baby's gender while undergoing IVF to criticizing her decision to hire a night nurse (Let's be honest: Who wouldn't hire a night nurse if they could afford one?), the sanctimommies have pushed her buttons too hard since the very beginning. Welcome to the club?
Teigen has been no stranger to writing comebacks when people think they know better that she does, either.
"A night nurse doesn't replace you waking and feeding at night," Teigen wrote on Twitter in February 2016, schooling those who criticized her openly on social media. "You're up with them. They're helpers and teachers."
And now that Luna is nearly a toddler, Teigen is not only annoyed by the constant criticism and unwanted parenting advice—she's now actually telling people up front that she doesn't want to hear it before they come for her in the comments.
Before she even posted the photo, she must have known the sanctimommies were coming with advice and demands to change her baby's diaper already. She was one step ahead of them, and in true Chrissy Teigen fashion, she had the perfect caption comeback.
"The diaper is never not blue so don't even start with me," she wrote. Yaaas, queen! Maybe they'll think twice before telling her how to be a mom again—at least we can hope. Then again, people online are always the worst, so ... we have no doubt she's got more comebacks lined up to go.
