Save the Children just released its 14th annual State of the World's Mothers report. Among other research and metrics, the report ranks 176 countries (all those with sufficient data and a national population above 100,000) on the best place to be a mother. Factors used to determine rankings include maternal health; children's well-being; and economic, educational and political status. The U.S. placed 30th, down 5 places from last year's report.
