From their very first moment, newborn Spanish twins Danel and Maria have been in the spotlight. After they were born via C-section at Gipuzkoa Hospital in the Basque Country, they immediately clasped hands. Astonished, the delivering doctors asked the family's permission to take a few photos.
"I've seen a lot of births and I've seen a lot of newborns but I've never seen that before," said Dr. Rodríguez. The photo, now hanging in his office, is going viral on YouTube.
And the twins? They're now four months old, and while they no longer hold hands, they do smile every time they look at each other. "The day they held hands they signed a contract to be together forever," said dad Mairo. See the video below.
