Teen Google Doodle Winner Has Amazing Story

Just in time for Memorial Day, yesterday’s Doodle 4 Google winner, Sabrina Brady has been celebrated across the military community. Prompted by the instructions to draw her “best day ever” Brady drew a series of doodles using the Google letters to showcase her father’s homecoming after an 18-month deployment to Iraq.

Brady was awarded a $30,000 scholarship and her school will receive a $50,000 technology grant. She is headed to Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her story tells one of many military families, and the image definitely speaks for itself. With the drawdown in Afghanistan expected later this year, soldiers and military families, particularly military children will need plenty of support as their families readjust to a peacetime military.
