Kindergartner Reads 875 Books

An avid reader doesn't even begin to describe 5-year-old Sophia Moss.

The Lake Charles, La., kindergartner received a "Reading Award" and an "Extra Special Award" for reading 875 (yes, eight hundred and seventy-five) books in one school year. She's read so much, in fact, that she's finished most of the kindergarten and 1st grade sections of her school library, reports KPLCtv.com.

"She'd be reading instead of sleeping," Sophia's father Carl Moss told the news site. "She loves to read and she does it all the time."

Sophia has even written her own children's book, Sophia's Pet, according to KPLCtv.com, about a turtle with super powers.

Maybe she'll mention her own reading super powers, too.
