She may have done a triathlon just six months after having twins, but J.Lo's urging us moms to be easy on ourselves after having a baby. "It takes time to get back to yourself," she told Stylist magazine.

The mother of 5-year-old twins Emme and Max (dad is J.Lo's ex, singer Marc Anthony) says she tried not to think of it as a "big deal" when her body shape changed profoundly during her pregnancy and new motherhood. "I had twins, so obviously I knew I had a fair road back," she says. She adds that she wishes more moms understood it takes time to recover: "I think women are too hard on themselves about this," she commented. "I was speaking to someone the other day who has just had a baby and I was saying 'You've had all these years to yourself and you are only taking one year to give birth to them and maybe another year to get back to yourself, but it's OK; let it go. Take the time and lose the weight and allow your skin to get back to normal. Yes, you'll have to work at it, but it's all OK."

Things are going more than OK for the still-hot songstress. In addition to hit albums and her recent stint as an American Idol Judge, she's got her own fragrance line, Glow by J-Lo. Now 11 years old, the business has made the singer a pile of money. "It was the first venture I was involved with that turned into a billion-dollar business," she said. "I was so proud of that."

And, just as she is with her twins, J.Lo says she's all up in her brand's DNA. "I see myself as the creative chief officer of my life," she told Stylist. "Anything I get involved with, whether it's business, music, movies, or producing, it all comes from what's important to me."
