Most of us dread being seen in a bikini—let alone being photographed in one. Let alone being photographed in one while pregnant! But here’s why the stars are different: Jamie-Lynn Sigler says she has no problem wearing a bikini while expecting, and actually prefers to have a bun in the oven if she’s going to have her scantily-clad bod in the tabloids, according to the LA Times.

At her baby shower on Wednesday, she told a People magazine writer, “I would probably not be caught in a bikini otherwise, but when you’re pregnant, it is what it is! However your body’s carrying is how your body’s carrying.”

Of course, Jamie-Lynn had a bangin’ bod before becoming a mom-to-be, which probably doesn’t hurt. Nor does the love and admiration of a totally cool partner: Sigler, 32, who was recently seen on Guys with Kids, is expecting a baby boy in August with Cutter Dykstra, 23, a minor league baseball player.

She’s also got good friends in her corner, including her BFF, actress JoAnna Garcia (JoAnna’s a new mom too; she had a baby girl in May with baseball star Nick Swisher). "Garcia talked me through her entire [birth process], so I know everything that happened—the good, the bad, the ugly, and so I’ve got all the pointers,” Jamie-Lynn says. “She’ll probably be there when I give birth, so it’s been nice to have her go through it and get to experience it with her.”

Jamie-Lynn's baby shower was held on the upper west side of Manhattan at hotspot Sugar and Plumm. The proceeds of the bash benefited Baby Buggy, a charity that provides essential gear and other help to needy families.
