UPDATE: Sources are reporting that The Duchess of Cambridge has had a boy, 8 lbs., 6 oz. More updates to follow!
An official statement from Kensington Palace states that Kate Middleton has entered a London hospital to give birth. And on Monday morning the Palace issued an update saying that the Princess was experiencing a normal labor.
"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labour. The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."
Kate Middleton was reportedly accompanied by her husband, Prince William, and was already in labor when she was admitted to the hospital shortly before 6 a.m. Monday morning in London.
Once the baby is born, a bulletin signed by the medical team will be placed on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace. It will be the same wooden easel that Prince William's birth was announced on in 1982.
