WATCH: 4-Year-Old Completes His Bucket List, Makes Us All Cry

Getting safe drinking water isn't something most of us worry about on a daily basis here in the U.S. But in many parts of the world, it's an all too real problem that's having a devastating global impact. According to Water.org, a shocking 3.4 million people die each year from water-related diseases, alone. And if that isn't heartbreaking enough, wait until you hear this: that's one child dying every 21 seconds.
WATERisLife—a nonprofit committed to bringing safe drinking water to communities throughout the world—is working to change all of that.
In a bid to raise awareness about the global water crisis, the organization released a two-minute YouTube video following a little boy by the name of Nkaitole. As a 4 year-old living in Kenya, Nkaitole's up against some pretty staggering odds: he may not live to see his fifth birthday. That's because in Kenya, 1 in 5 kids won't live beyond the age of 5, all due to a shortage of safe and clean drinking water.
So as a means to live out some of his dreams before it's too late, Nkaitole creates his very own bucket list.
Just what does a 4-year-old boy dream of doing, exactly? Nkaitole rides in a hot air balloon. He stands on the shoreline and sees the ocean for the first time. He races the "fastest man in the world" (and wins). In the end, what results is a powerfully moving video that underscores just how much this kid has to live for—and how maddening his odds are.
Watch the clip below. And get ready to have your heartstrings tugged on.
