Pregnant Moms Twerking: New Trend?

Pregnant moms twerking may be the latest Internet trend

We know what you're thinking: it's been a while since you've been forced to watch somebody twerk. But if you're in serious post-VMAs Miley withdrawal, some humorous moms-to-be on the BabyCenter message boards have got you covered.

In a message board thread dating back to late July, one mom posts a series of her own twerking videos... Only to be met by an influx of comments and response-twerk videos. The result? A pregnant twerk-fest heard 'round the parenting Interwebs.

Now, let us pause right here for a minute, and make sure we're all on the same page. Twerking—in case you're incredibly late to the party—is when ... oh, how shall we put this? According to the Oxford Dictionary (because yes, they added this to the dictionary), it's to "dance to music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low, squatting stance."

Nicki Minaj does it. Miley more than does it (but only with teddy bears). Apparently every teenager to walk a high school hallway does it. (As evidenced, in a pretty epic fashion, here.) Even the 65-and-older-set is hip to its booty-shaking ways, if these grannies are to be believed. So naturally, pregnant moms were next in line, right?

According to Linda Murray, global editor-in-chief of BabyCenter, "Moms are very plugged into pop culture and have a great sense of humor, so it's no surprise they're enjoying this craze like everyone else." She also added that it's a good thing for women to feel sexy and womanly, despite having kids.

We're totally on board with her there (especially about the moms being hilarious part, because duh); but we're still kind of lost on just how "sexy" this whole fad can really make a person feel, anyway, especially at 8 months pregnant. Instead, we love it just for its ridiculousness.

Anyways, here's the full message board thread in all it's glory. And watch below for just one of the many amazing videos added to the post:
