Recently, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar—stars of TLC's 19 Kids And Counting and parents to America's notoriously large and ever-growing brood—have been making the interview rounds. For the most part, it's been lots of the usual stuff: chats about their family, what it's like to live with such a massive clan of kids and updates on their preemie, Josie. But then Michelle let something slip to ABC News that we didn't expect to hear. Or rather, we couldn't imagine ourselves saying if we already had 19 kids under our belt.
"I would be so grateful if the Lord blessed us with another one," Michelle told ABC.
She and her husband Jim Bob went on to explain that the Bible has guided them through all of their life decisions, kids included. So they're not exactly putting the kibosh on future babies.
“I don’t think you can do it without the Lord’s help,” Michelle said. “When you get this many people in one house, you’re going to be sure there’s going to be conflict."
Oh, yes. A lot of conflict, a lot of mouths to feed, a lot of laundry. (Seriously, just imagine those laundry piles!)
But "you learn a lot of good," Michelle continued. "We’re still learning together as we go along. We’re each others’ best friends."
The Duggars first married back in 1984, and have pretty much been popping out kids left and right ever since. Their littlest one, Josie, was born a month premature earlier this year, after Michelle was forced to have an emergency C-section due to a rare condition. Josie was hospitalized for awhile as a result, which is why we're a little shocked Michelle wouldn't put an end to the whole baby-making machine thing once and for all...
What would you think if the Duggars welcomed yet another kid into their brood?
