We don't know about you, but we're already mentally planning a serious date with our couch, our PJs, and a bottle of wine for the next two-years-running—and we couldn't be more excited about it.
News of the hosting gig swept Twitter this morning when the Golden Globes official account tweeted: “Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to return as hosts of the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards, and the 72nd in 2015.” (And women everywhere could be heard simultaneously shouting "YESSSSSSS!" from the four corners of the earth.)
For those who watched the pair's hilarious hosting job last January, you totally get why the award show producers probably wanted to lock these ladies in as long as possible.
Speaking this morning after the announcement, Paul Telegdy, the President of Alternative and Late Night Programming for NBC Entertainment, said: "Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business, and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season. We're elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years."
Us too, Paul; us too.
