Parents-to-Be Share Baby News—With Swagger

Couple posts hip hop birth announcement

If you're like most parents, you probably spilled the baby news one of a few ways: either by wasting way too much time online designing those adorable baby announcement cards to send out ... or posting a photo of your positive pee stick/ultrasound on Facebook and calling it a day. Then again, you could have gone the old-fashioned route and, you know, just told people.

Either way, it looks like it's time to step up your game, because Jalene and Lincoln Taylor of North Salt Lake, Utah, have just outdone you. In a big way.

Inspired by those seriously hilarious "swagger wagon" commercials Toyota made a few years back, the Taylors decided to create a similar spoof about their bun in the oven. So they rewrote the lyrics, laid down a track, made a pretty decently produced music video ... and voilà: the perfect baby announcement was born. It's also proving to be the perfect recipe for a viral hit, since the two-minute clip has raked in almost 200,000 views in less than a week.

But what makes it all even sweeter is the fact that Jalene and Lincoln struggled through months of fertility issues and a miscarriage before they finally saw two pink lines, made it to that coveted 12-week mark, and were able to share the news.

So you know, clearly, they had to celebrate by dropping some sick rhymes.

What do you think? Kind of genius or too over-the-top?
