Now that the Super Bowl is over, we can focus on the competition that really matters: The 2015 Westminster Dog Show. Beginning on Valentine's Day, the Westminster Kennel Club's 139th annual event hosts competitions in agility, judging in best of breed and judging in best of group. It all culminates in the final competition for the coveted title of Best in Show.
Events are scheduled all weekend long, with the junior showmanship finals, group judging and best in show all taking place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Live coverage of the Westminster Dog Show will air both Monday and Tuesday nights, with viewers watching to see if a Wire Fox Terrier takes home Best in Show again.
As the WKC's Director of Communications David Frei says in the above video, "People watch the dog show for three reasons. One is to see who's going to win. Everybody wants to see that. Secondly, they want to see the entertainment of 192 different breeds and varieties, but thirdly, I call it the 'alma mater factor,' that if I'm sitting at home with my Brittany ... we're going to be rooting for the Brittany." So, which reason will have you tuning in to watch the Westminster Dog Show this year?
