How Soon Can I Take a Home Pregnancy Test?

If you’ve been trying to get pregnant, you’ll likely want to take a home pregnancy as soon as you suspect you've conceived. According to Dr. Alyssa Dweck, an obstetrician and gynecologist with Mount Kisco Medical Group in New York, a woman can take a home pregnancy test at the first sign of a missed period. “For a urine home pregnancy test, positive results will appear by the day of or day after a woman misses her period,” she said.
