Does Infertility Only Occur in Women?

Infertility occurs in both men and women, says Dr. Maher Abdallah, board certified physician in reproductive endocrinology, infertility and obstetrics and gynecology in Newport Beach, California. According to Abdallah, there are several factors that contribute to infertility that apply to both genders, such as age, tobacco and alcohol use, and weight. Physical problems affecting a man's ability to ejaculate sperm normally in semen can be detected with a semen analysis.
