A winter (and hot cocoa) staple, marshmallows are also a fun way to dress the tree. Before you begin stringing, set various sizes of marshmallows out so they get stale. After they've been out for a day or two, cut a long strand of fishing line, thread it with a needle and tie a button or bead to the end. Dip your fingers in cooking oil and run them along the wire to keep it from getting sticky. Ask the kids to help decide on a pattern, and then start stringing!
