Of all the custody battle stunts parents have pulled, the story of Chad Holm takes the cake, er, cookie. Chad, 37, had temporary custody of his children, ages 5 and 7, while their mother underwent voluntary drug treatment (the couple had been regular meth users over the course of their marriage). After baking cookies with their dad, the boys brought a sample to a visit with mom and urged her to take taste. Shortly thereafter she tested positive for meth despite being clean for a year.
She remembered the terrible tasting cookies and subsequently suspected that Holm and his girlfriend were trying to ruin her perfect drug test record before an upcoming custody hearing. The cookies were analyzed and she was right; Holm had put meth in the batter. Worse? The children had eaten the cookies too and also tested positive. Further investigation revealed that Holm had also forged his own drug test results before submitting them to the court. Mom ultimately won full custody of the kids.
